my lady needs her loukoumades.
Every year my babe’s salon sells ducks for the Chesapeake Rubber Duck Race. (One year her client won! $5,000!). This year in addition to the race they are auctioning off “Dazzled Ducks” decorated for the charity. I’d have to say Courtney’s is pretty fabulous.
The race is put on by CHIP an organization that “is responsible for increasing access to health care for thousands of Virginia’s low income children and their families. CHIP targets children from birth to age six, when comprehensive prevention-oriented services make the greatest impact in the life of a young child.”
This year the grand prize is a 2012 Nissan Versa! The race takes place in Great Bridge on April 28th at 11am (unfortunately conflicting with Slutwalk Norfolk at Lafayette Park).
This links to The Color Run, which we don’t have. However, Virginia Beach has Color Me Rad- which is May 6th, for other locations: colormerad.com

Angus Burger from Fresh Crust in Virginia Beach. This place has a great menu and the owner, who is Turkish, knows how to make a good sandwich. The shawarma/gyros are good and the fries are great too.
